We saw in the paper today that the annual kill quota for seal season has been increased. Angus got quite upset about the seal killing. We talked about how a lot of people in other countries get very upset with Australia for killing kangaroos. Not saying that the seal killing, or roo killing is right - but that there are different perspectives.
The arguments for seal killing are almost the same as those used for roo culling. But seal killing is more profitable. And seals are much cuter, specially the fluffy white baby ones, and the slaughter seems much more offensive somehow with that white background (snow and fur) for all that blood.
